About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Qualified Teacher to join a dynamic team at a well-established Special Needs School catering to students aged 6-16 with a range of needs, including ASD/ADHD/SEMH/SLCN. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing challenging behaviours, a compassionate approach to teaching, and the ability to tailor learning strategies to meet the individual needs of each student. Experience in a SEN setting is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess lessons in a way that accommodates the individual learning styles and needs of students with special educational needs.
- Effectively manage challenging behaviour using positive behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals to ensure each student’s personal, academic, and social development is supported.
- Create a nurturing, safe, and structured environment that encourages engagement and learning.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to deliver a coordinated approach to student care and education.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular updates to parents and other stakeholders.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring that lessons are accessible and engaging for all learners.
Key Requirements:

- Training in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) or similar behavioural management frameworks.

- Previous experience working with students with complex needs in a school or educational setting.
